I am dying... I think that Jillian Michaels may be too ambitious for me! I just completed my first day at Level 3 of The Shred. It was obscenely hard! I really wouldn't have been able to do it on my first day, I am going to be sore tomorrow! I don't think I could have done it if I had also followed their nutrition plan... I didn't look into it but I imagine lots of salads and most importantly no chocolate in bed or drinking... both of which I enjoy in moderation :) and don't want to give up! Speaking of which, Friday night Rosanne drunkenly admitted to me that earlier in the week she had tried The Shred, just tried it out... didn't even keep up and she was sore for 3 whole days! She was so embarrassed by being so sore she couldn't tell me! Haha I think that is hilarious... I was also sore and complained loudly everyday to Vegard and Sam and anyone who would listen... she just wasn't here to witness the mess I was. But, it still made me laugh, I hope it didn't scare her away from doing the video every once a while at least.
As you might have guessed there was a big party Friday night. Bosse had a bunch of people over with the usual silly dancing and good times. Rosanne and I drank some wine at her place and thought we were going to a barbecue at Bosse's so we brought some sausages and buns of dinner to have there... turns out they didn't really get the fire started and so it was a few more drinks later before Rosanne and I had dinner. Not the best plan for either of us, but worse for her. I think I managed to eat more over the course of the night then she did by microwaving hotdogs and eating them. It was a lot of fun, but nothing really to write home about. But here we appear to be laughing about something hilarious... who knows what!
Earlier on Friday I went riding! It was super nice out so I got on a little early and walked around outside on Vaaaagner in the setting sunshine :)
We have the big indoor ring to the left and the pony barn to the right and some adorable orange eras in the middle! This may be one of the best views nature can provide!
Then I had the bright idea to go into the indoor to try to take a picture of us in the mirror...
It was kind of hard...
It was warm enough that I didn't have to wear my super winter gloves, but still cold enough that I am wearing about 4 layers of clothes! It was a good lesson from dressage, Vaaagner and I get along pretty well in dressage. I have to train in sitting down deeper, tilting my hips so that I am deep in the saddle with my leg still under me not like a cowboy. It is really hard and I don't know if I am ever going to be someone that sits so still in the saddle that their ass never comes up off of it for a second! I will keep trying but my ass was sore on Saturday from trying so much Friday! haha!
Well tomorrow is Monday, day 2 of level 3 of The Shred... believe me I am already counting down to the end! Hopefully I am not too sore tomorrow, but it is looking very possible, I am already stiffening up as I type! Maybe I can sleep really stretched out... arms and legs in all different directions!
That is truly a beautiful view!!!
